我的看法：clients being conservative.为一个分词短语做sign的定语，而clients是分词短语的逻辑主语，或者说是个分词的独立主格结构？
矛盾点：分词做状语的时候才有独立主格结构吧。
做定语的时候是不是没有独立主格？

我的看法：clients being conservative是介词of的宾语
整个介词短语，做sign的定语，而being conservative是形容词短语，作clients的宾语补足语。不是“分词的独立主格结构”。
分词做状语的时候，其逻辑主语与主句不一致时，才是独立主格结构。
做定语的时候是没有独立主格的。
