因为你是要留学美国或者加拿大，所以建议你考托福。托福是美国人出题，它当然要以美式英语作基准，因此在托福听力中完全是标准的美音，而且美式的习语、俚语也时有出现，而在托福阅读中，又有大量的关于美国的历史、文化、政治、地理等方面的文章。因此我们可以说托福是美式英语的考试。现在人们学的也大多是美式英语。
