问题描述：本人初中水平，想自学考托福，应该先从什么开始学起，需要哪些书和资料，或者需要先学习什么考试的教程？
过去备考旧托福，主要依靠练习真题。IBT的话，目前没有全真试题可练（除非ETS自己公开发布，否则很难得到），所以只能把重点放在一些IBT教材提供的模拟题和模考软件中的题目。大陆地区的考生，建议准备OG和Delta教程两套书和一本《新托福考试完全攻略》，如果复习时间充足（4－6个月）且基础一般，可以考虑用Longman教程入门。身在海外的考生，还可以考虑购买Kaplan教程、Barron教程，有关具体介绍请点击。另外，旧托福材料和机经也是可以参考的辅助资料。（当然，如果大陆地区的考生有美金和国际信用卡，也可以从amazon网站购买原版书籍）
